ObjektSynth v0.7.4 BETA
Copyright 1997 Objekt, Detroit, USA.
---------------------------

This is a limited functionality beta version of ObjektSynth
for BeOS Preview Release. It is meant to give you an idea
of where we're headed, and hopefully let you make some cool
music with your BeBox. It supports the standard Mac-MIDI serial
port interface and MIDI ports on the BeBox, plays standard
MIDI files, and loads preset patches. All parameters can be
controlled via MIDI in real-time.

Please mail bug reports, comments, questions, and suggestions
to objekt@objektsynth.com.

INSTALLATION
---------------------------

Download the .zip file and place it in /boot/apps, or wherever
you would like to place it. Then use unzip to uncompress
the file. If you are reading this, you've probably accomplished
this without any trouble.

USAGE
---------------------------

Double-click.

To load a preset patch, choose "Open Patch..." from the File
menu.

To play a standard MIDI file, choose "Open MIDI File..."
from the File menu.

Filter resonance is specified as 1/Q, so "0" means infinite
Q (and self-oscillation) and 2.0 gives a Q of 0.5 (i.e., no
resonance).

See the "objektsynth.doc" file and the ObjektSynth web site for
more usage documentation. http://www.ObjektSynth.com/

NOTES
---------------------------

This beta version for BeOS Preview Release does not support
saving patches. It is also time-limited so keep checking our
web site for updates!

KNOWN BUGS
---------------------------

Parameter "invert" checkboxes do not work.
