INTRODUCTION
============
VuBe is an image viewer for the BeOS, providing thumbnail viewing, zoom, pan, save, and save selection. It also provides a simple slideshow, proportional scaling to window size, image browsing within a directory, and one or two preferences. Many more features are planned, as explained in the documentation.

This is the second alpha release, and your comments and bug lists are welcome. Send all comments to vube@silentsw.com

INSTALLATION
============
There is currently no installation procedure. Since you are reading this file, you must have extracted the downloaded gzip archive. We recommend that you copy the extracted folder where you want, and then create a symbolic link from the Vube application to your preferred location, be it the desktop, or the Be Menu under Applications.

Note: When accessing the documentation via the Help menu, VuBe expects to find a file called index.htm in the same location as the application. For this reason, you should copy the entire extracted folder, to maintain the appropriate relationships between folders for the documentation file.

One day we _will_ produce a proper installation package for VuBe <g>

FURTHER INFORMATION
===================
More information can be found in the VuBe documentation - which is the index.htm file in the folder where you extracted to. If you think there's anything missing, please tell us at vube@silentsw.com
