Sketch 1.6
John Wiggins 1998
An Etch-A-Sketch® for your computer

To use:
- open Sketch
- Use arrow keys to draw
- select erase or shake the window to make the Etch-A-Sketch® clean :)
(Erratic dragging will also erase.(see below))
- select Save to save your artwork in any format you have a Translator( or datatype handler) for.

Known Bugs:
- The shake to erase algorithm works, but its not commercial quality yet. If you move the window back and forth too much when repositioning, your drawing will be lost.
- If you set MALLOC_DEBUG=1, some stuff breaks. I have no idea how to fix this. All I can really say is, it's not a buffer overrun or anything nasty like that, so don't worry about it. On the other hand, if you've had this same problem in an app you wrote and you know how to fix it, you can email me at the address below.

Version History:

1.0 - 1.5:
Various early development. 1.5 was the first "complete" version.

1.6:
Possible deadlocks have been removed in all the places I could think of. This should fix the nasty problem of the window freezing during a full moon on friday the 13th (it only happened to me a few times. thats why it stayed in till 1.5)
I also changed the Save panel "format" menu. Instead of inserting itself into the menubar, it now sets up camp in the top right corner just below the menu.

Future Additions:
- Im basically done with it. Bugfixes and "must-have" features only from now on :)

There are no known crashing bugs at this time, so Sketch "shouldn't" be a nasty program. If it does do something distasteful to your computer when you run it, I John Wiggins take NO responsibility. This software is provided "as is". Blah Blah Blah. Please don't blame me if this program does any nasty stuff. (I have tested BOTH PPC and X86 executables)
