kit is available to registered users.

The PowerUtilities 'Screen saver for OS/2' requires OS/2 version 2 and

Create a new directory.
Unzip the zip files from version 1.1.00 into this new directory.
Replace the executable from version 1.1.00 with the executable
from this zip file. Do it by renaming saver.exe from the 1.1.00
release into saver.bak and then copy the saver.exe from the 1.2.00
zip into the newly created directory.

In order for the PowerUtilities 'Screen saver for OS/2' to start up
during boot, create a shadow of the program in the 'Startup' folder
found in the 'OS/2 System folder'.

Some PowerUtilities 'Screen saver for OS/2' modules requires DIVE,
in order for these saver module to work on you system, you need to
have this DIVE software from IBM installed.
To verify that you have DIVE on your system, look for dive.dll in the
'x:\OS\DLL' folder. Where x is the drive of your OS/2 installation.

Read the 'modules.txt' file for more information on each module.

S e t u p
---------
Type "start saver.exe /s" on a OS/2 command line. Or start the
"setup.cmd" file. This will bring you the setup window, a saver.ini
file will be created on the same directory as the executable, if not
already created.

Choose your PowerUtilities 'Screen saver for OS/2' module and so on,
click [OK] when done.

Type "start saver.exe" on a OS/2 command line. This will start the saver
server and this again will trigger the animation, when there has been no
user input for the amount of time that you specified in the setup window.

If you get an messagebox telling that the screen saver server is already
running, follow the "Termination the saver server" procedures.

-------------------------------------------------------
Terminate the Saver Server by displaying the "Window List", select
"Screen Saver - server" from the list and press [Delete]. You can
visualise the "Window List" by pressing [Ctrl] and [Esc].

U n i n s t a l l
-----------------
No entries are added in the os2.ini file or other system ini files.
Just delete all of the files resided in the directory of the PowerUtilities
'Screen saver for OS/2', then delete the directory. If you have added an entry
in the 'Startup' folder, remove this as well.

L i m i t a t i o n s
---------------------
The PowerUtilities 'Screen saver for OS/2' does not support full
screen sessions, like DOS and Win-OS2.

If you have enabled the OS/2 Warp lockup feature, you might experience
that the screen goes black when the PowerUtilities 'Screen saver for OS/2'
and lockup is running at the same time. Normally these two application
works fine together.

C r e a t i n g y o u r o w n m o d u l e
-----------------------------------------------
I have made it possible for others to create screen saver modules. In order
to receive information on how to create a module, you will have to be
a registered user.

T e c h n i c a l n o t e
---------------------------
The PowerUtilities 'Screen saver for OS/2' is a multithreaded 32 bit
PM application. The thread controlling the animation is running at
the lowest level (Idle-time), meaning that other processes will get
a higher CPU priority to perform their task.

The server part of the PowerUtilities 'Screen saver for OS/2' installs
a hook to the system input queue, resulting that no CPU time is used
unnecessary. The server part runs at normal priority level (Regular),
but only consumes CPU time when the user interacts with the system.
